Lacrosse Seed Alfalfa
LaCrosse Seed Forage Alfalfa
Alfalfa varieties differ greatly, and outdated genetics don’t perform as well under environmental stress as new varieties. Get longer stands and more value by prioritizing performance over price - choose varieties proven for high yield, feed quality, pest resistance and persistence.
LaCrosse Seed's extensive alfalfa lineup includes conventional, Roundup Ready® and HarvXtra® seed varieties that offer top yield potential for your unique growing conditions, without sacrificing forage quality.
HarvXtra® Alfalfa with Roundup Ready® Technology
HarvXtra® is an industry first - alfalfa seed that is genetically enhanced to reduce the amount of lignin in the plant, when compared to conventional alfalfa at the same stage of maturity. This technology widens your cutting windows, providing the flexibility to delay harvest for higher yields without sacrificing forage quality.
Broadleaf weeds and grasses can easily choke out newly-seeded alfalfa. Weed management with Roundup Ready® Technology can help you achieve a strong, healthy alfalfa stand for maximum yields and forage quality. It is most effective during stand establishment, when weeds are less than 4" tall, and can provide effective control up to 5 days before harvest if weed problems persist.
NexGrow conventional alfalfa varieties have been developed to maximize yield potential in shorter growing seasons by bouncing back quickly after cutting, and with improved insect and disease resistance in cool, wet weather.
Varieties with higher fall dormancy ratings grow faster in the spring and continue later in the fall, providing the potential for one additional cutting.
